The talk in our Christian meeting today was so refreshing. The speaker talked about finding favor in the eyes of God.
What really touched my heart was the thought from the Scriptures that God does not view us as “damaged goods.” Even when we feel we’re broken and it’s difficult for us to put back together all the pieces, God values us.

To drive home the point, the speaker talked about how painstakingly art experts repaired Da Vinci’s sketch after it was damaged by a vandal who used a shotgun to blast a 6-inch hole in the artwork. Glass fragments and loose bits of paper were removed in the restoration and it took them months working on it.

I could just imagine how delicately and how meticulously they must have done the restoration work. They had to carefully separate the small bits of glass from every fiber of the paper. They did this because the artwork is worth $35 million!
The speaker then said that we are much more valuable in God’s eyes. So no matter how damaged we feel we are, we are not a lost cause. Just like those art experts, God sees beyond the damage.
This talk really helped me a lot. It helped me to see that God will never give up on me and will continue strengthening me even when I feel I could no longer go on.
Today is a good day and I think that what I received today is enough for me to go through what’s in store for me tomorrow and the days after.
Loved reading this. Inspiring and fills one with so much hope. 🙂
